Mark is the Marketing & Finance Director at Childhood Matters Consulting Ltd, bringing more than 30 years of experience across sales, marketing, business development and relationship management.
He plays a key role in the strategic and operational leadership of the organisation, overseeing financial planning, business growth, project management and the development of strong partnerships with schools, organisations, families and professionals.
Known for his attention to detail, organisational expertise and ability to build trusted relationships, Mark combines commercial acumen with a deeply people-centred approach. Whether managing complex projects, developing new opportunities or supporting the day-to-day operations of the organisation, he is committed to ensuring that services remain responsive, sustainable and aligned to Childhood Matters’ values.
Mark also brings valuable lived experience. As an adult who has lived with MS since his early twenties, and a parent supporting neurodivergent family members through education, adulthood and beyond, he understands first-hand the importance of inclusion, belonging and compassionate support. This perspective informs his approach to both business and relationships, helping to ensure that people always remain at the heart of decision-making.
Colleagues and partners often describe Mark as approachable, dependable and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of others. He has a natural ability to make people feel welcome, valued and heard, whether he is supporting a family, working alongside a school or developing new partnerships.
Things to know about Mark: he enjoys baking a fantastic loaf of sourdough, has never met a spreadsheet he didn’t like, can spot a missing decimal point from a mile away, his daughter would say he is a classic when it comes to ‘dad jokes’, and he still claims he can beat his son at a game of pool. His latte art is also surprisingly impressive.
